Wm. Lyman Belnap
Wm. Lyman Belnap’s professional performance over more than 30 years has made him the “gold standard” for integrity among Boise-area lawyers. He enjoys the highest reputation among the thousands of lawyers, judges, clients, and others he has associated with during three decades of legal service.
Mr. Belnap serves clients in three practice areas: business counseling (with an emphasis on real estate, contract, and new business formation), family wealth management, and adoptions. Although he has deep roots in Idaho, he represents not only local but also national and international clients and is highly fluent in Spanish, with professional-level speaking, reading, writing, and translation skills.
Mr. Belnap began his legal career in 1977 as law clerk to Idaho’s revered United States District Court Judge Marion J. Callister. Since then, Mr. Belnap has been engaged in the private practice of law in Boise, except for two periods of legal service in Latin America. With his wide range of experience, Mr. Belnap is the “go-to” lawyer for business people needing legal help and guidance as well as for various individuals seeking assistance with family matters, including wealth preservation.
Mr. Belnap received his undergraduate and law degrees from Brigham Young University. He is currently involved in community service and charitable organizations including Boy Scouts of America and CASI Foundation for Children (a large domestic/international adoption agency).
